OBJETIVES

1. Development and scientific treatment of problems in the areas within its remit, and to foster an interest in these problems among members of the university community and society in general.
2. Collaborate in the scientific training of UPV/EHU students through specialised courses and third-cycle study programmes.
3. Collaborate in activities carried out in the various areas related to the different departments within the UPV/EHU.
4. Organise scientific meetings, courses, seminars and conferences that contribute to the dissemination and improvement of expertise in the areas that concern them.
5. Promote the exchange of professors, researchers and students with other institutes and universities, by participating in joint campaigns and common projects.
6. Collaborate with public and private institutions in the form of opinions, reports and general assessments to clarify the problems that occur within our environment in this area.
7. Facilitate professionals working in these areas by providing access to contributions produced in their activity areas.

These objectives will be developed by undertaking activities that offer specific services to the Institute’s members and to anyone who needs them or to those who participate in the offers made. From an internal point of view, GEZKI gives its members access to all existing documents in their Library Service specialising in cooperativism and social economy. It also offers advice and information on channelling research work, academic projects, international relations, contacts of interest with public and private entities and with other researchers, etc.
